Have an existing system? Contact us in English or Spanish to discuss UV lighting for your equipment.

Understand what the light is designed to do.

Coil-focused UV lighting can help limit microbial growth on HVAC surfaces exposed to the light. Equipment designed to treat moving air has a different application. We explain which purpose the proposed device serves.

Coil and component care
A coil-focused installation directs UV light toward suitable internal HVAC surfaces. Its placement is chosen for the equipment and the manufacturer's instructions.
Moving-air applications
Air passes through an HVAC system quickly, so an air-treatment device needs a design and exposure suited to that job. A basic coil light should not be assumed to provide the same performance.
Filtration continues
UV light does not capture dust or allergens. The system's filter and regular equipment care remain part of the plan.

Choose the installation for your equipment.

We review the existing HVAC equipment or planned installation and explain how the UV device will fit. The proposal identifies the device, the installation work and the care it will require.

With a new HVAC system
A UV light system is included with our new installations. Review its purpose and equipment details along with the rest of your system proposal.
For an existing system
Share your current equipment details if you have them. We can assess the installation space, access and connections before recommending the work.
A different air quality option
If you are considering an air purification upgrade, we can explain REME HALO separately so you can compare it with the included UV system.

Plan the care after installation.

UV equipment needs ongoing care. We explain the manufacturer's lamp or component replacement recommendations and how to include the device in future HVAC service visits.

Keep the device details
Retain the model and installation information with your HVAC records so future service uses the correct parts and instructions.
Mention changes in the system
If cooling, airflow or drainage changes, tell us when arranging service so we can assess the HVAC system as well as the UV equipment.

Your questions

Questions, answered.

Is a UV light included with a new HVAC installation?

Yes. A UV light system is included with our new HVAC installations. The proposal explains the device and its purpose within your system.

Is a UV light system the same as REME HALO?

No. A coil-focused UV light directs light at exposed HVAC surfaces. REME HALO is an in-duct purification upgrade using a UV-based cell and catalyst. Compare the intended application, installation and care for the specific products in your proposal.

Will a UV light replace my air filter?

No. UV light does not collect particles. Continue the filter care recommended for your HVAC equipment.

How often does the UV equipment need service?

The schedule depends on the model. We explain the manufacturer's care and lamp or component replacement recommendations when discussing the installation.
