Your questions

Questions, answered.

The A/C works, but the heat does not. Does that mean I need a new system?

No. A problem in heating mode can still be a repair issue even when cooling works. We check the equipment and controls, identify the fault and explain the repair before discussing replacement.

Why are some rooms warm while others stay cold?

Uneven heating can involve airflow, ductwork or the equipment itself. Tell us which rooms are affected and whether the difference is new. We assess the system as a whole before recommending work.

What should I note before a heating repair visit?

Note the thermostat setting, whether the system starts, whether air comes from the vents and any unusual sounds. A model number or past service record helps if already handy; you do not need to open the equipment or identify the broken part.
